Our Challenge

Belagavi's slums face significant challenges, particularly for children who often lack parental support for education. To address this, we established Utkarsha Learning Center in 2018. Since then, over 1090 children have received education. However, with growing enrollment and limited resources, including only two school buses, we urgently need to expand our facilities to accommodate more students and ensure their continued learning journey.

Thanks to the generous support of Ingersoll Rand India Ltd., we've expanded our fleet with a new school bus. This significant addition will improve transportation for more children, ensuring they can attend school regularly and punctually. By providing reliable transportation, we're reducing absenteeism and dropout rates, empowering students to fully engage in their education.

Procurement of School Desks and Smart Boards

Our Challenge

Mahesh Foundation started The Hillside School to provide quality education to HIV infected orphans and underprivileged children in slum. These children neither have access nor afford digital literacy and skills to better their lives. It encompasses technological and electronic tools to provide children access to quality education. These children are the first generation learners of their communities. Additionally, there was a need of desks for these children for a convenient learning environment.

Ingersoll Rand India's generous support unlocks a world of tech-powered learning for underprivileged students. Their support under CSR brings a smart boards to the classrooms, transforming the learning experience with interactive lessons and visual stimuli. The desks have been instrumental in providing seating for 960 underprivileged children, allowing us to create a conducive learning environment with individual spaces for each child. The addition of school desks has significantly improved the comfort and learning experiences of these children.
